This embroidery is 170 Cross stitches wide by 123 stitches tall. I did it on 32 count Lavender linen. The design has cross stitched violets in two subtle silk floss colors, one bluish lavender and the other lavender blue. You can see these violets on the Hardanger heart I have included on this site as a free project. The roses have Satin stitched petals, centers and leaves. Each element has a different design and they stitch up quickly using silk perle or silk flosses. To finish the design and tie the elements together I used three leaf clover stitched with Gloriana overdyed silk floss that is so beautiful you could almost taste the clover.©2006, L. Fontenot
